MAC OS X FOR E-ACCESS

• Open the Apple menu and click the System Preferences menu item

• Double-click the Network icon

• Ensure that Location has the value of Automatic
• Ensure that your modem is selected in the topmost Configure box
• Ensure that the lower Configure box has the value of Using PPP
• Click the PPP tab

• In the Service Provider box type E-Access Internet
• In the Account Name box type your full E-Access email address (ie username@e-access.com.au)
• In the Password box type your chosen password
• The password will be displayed as a series of dot characters
• In the Telephone Number box type 0198331221
• Click the PPP Options button

• Ensure that Disconnect if idle for n minutes is unticked
• Place a tick in the Use TCP header compression tickbox
• Ensure that Connect using a terminal window (command line) is unticked
• Click the OK button
• Click the Save button
• Click the Close button () to close System Preferences
• Select Applications from the Go menu

• Double-click the Internet Connect icon

• Setup is now complete. Click the Close button () to finish without connecting, or click the Connect button to connect to the Internet
