WINDOWS 2000 PRO SETUP FOR E-ACCESS

• On the desktop double-click the My Computer icon
• Double-click on the Control Panel icon
• Double-click on the Network and Dial-up Connections icon
• Double-click on the Make New Connection icon
• The screen shown below will appear

• Click the Next > button

• Check the Dial-up to the Internet radio button
• Click the Next > button

• Click the I want to set up my Internet connection manually radio button
• Click the Next > button

• Click the I connect through a phone line and a modem radio button
• Click the Next > button

• Enter 0198331221 for the telephone number
• Ensure that the Use area code dialing rules is not checked
• Then click the Advanced button

• Click the PPP (Point to Point Protocol) radio button
• Click the Disable LCP Extensions check box so that it has a tick
• Under Logon procedure check the none radio button
• Click the OK button
• Click the Next > button

• In the Username box enter your full E-Access email address (ie username@e-access.com.au)
• In the Password box enter your E-Access password
• Click the Next > button

• In the Connection name box type E-Access
• Click the Next > button

• Check the Yes radio button
• Click the Next > button

• Enter your name
• Click the Next > button

• In the E-mail address text box type your E-Access e-mail address
• Click the Next > button

• In the Incoming mail server box type pop3.e-access.com.au
• In the Outgoing mail server box type smtp.e-access.com.au
• Click the Next > button

• In the Account name box type your E-Access email address
• In the Password box type your E-Access password
• Ensure that the Remember password box is checked
• Ensure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box is not checked
• Click the Next > button

• Ensure that the To connect to the Internet immediatly... box is not checked
• Click the Finish button
